Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners. Through nine games, "Baby Hawk" has hauled in 45 passes for 601 yards and two touchdowns. No one in their right mind expected the 5'7 Hawkins to be a dynamic end zone threat but he has proved to be a fantasy steel by exceeding expectations in every other stat category.
Unfortunately, his outlook will take a major blow with fellow receiver Josh Gordon set to make his long-awaited debut to the lineup this week. While Gordon will draw his share of double teams, fantasy owners have every reason to expect to see the number of targets for Hawkins decrease.
Fantasy Impact: Even with a dimmer fantasy outlook, Hawkins can still bring some value to fantasy lineups this week. The Browns are taking on the Atlanta Falcons and their secondary, which gives up the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. He's a borderline WR3/4 in PPR formats.
