Julius Thomas injury update: Broncos TE is a true game-time decision, fantasy owners should secure backup plan

Julius Thomas may or may not play Sunday's late-afternoon game. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a humiliating loss in Week 11, and they may be without their stud tight end Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Julius Thomas is about as questionable as a player can get as he deals with an ankle injury. He'll be a game-time decision, with Jacob Tamme likely seeing his snap count increase if Thomas can't play.

Fantasy impact: This is about as difficult as it can get for fantasy owners. Thomas is one of the league's best tight ends and is typically a must-start player. However, a decision won't be made until after the bulk of Sunday's games have kicked off for the day. Fantasy owners should consider other starters for Week 12. Even if Thomas suits up, he may see a limited snap count at less than 100 percent. Tamme may not be a suitable backup plan. He hasn't put up impressive numbers during the rare instances that Thomas didn't play.
