Odell Beckham Jr., Denard Robinson great options for fantasy owners in Giants-Jaguars

We break down the Week 13 matchup between the New York Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Week 13 matchup between the New York Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars features two struggling teams looking forward to next season. We've got the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

New York Giants

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has officially arrived and is one of the rising stars of football right now. The Jaguars aren't exactly known for playing steady defense, so even though quarterback Eli Manning and the Giants aren't anywhere near intimidating offensively, Beckham is the one weapon on the team that is indeed scary. He went off for an insane 10 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys last week, and could continue that dominance down south.

One thing Beckham will have going for him is that teammate Rashad Jennings looks perfectly healthy and ready to do some damage out of the backfield. He only rushed for 52 yards last week, but managed to string together eight receptions for an additional 68 yards, making him a threat in PPR leagues. If Jennings is on his game against his former team, that likely means more room for him and Beckham to do some damage in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Just one week after the Indianapolis Colts gave up over 200 yards rushing to Jonas Gray, they managed to contain Denard Robinson. The former Michigan star was held to just 25 yards rushing on 14 carries but did manage 47 yards in the passing game. This week against the Giants, there's a good chance that Robinson will be the only Jaguars player to get going. Given how inexperienced he is and what a lackluster team he plays for, there is definitely some hidden value for fantasy owners who choose to start him in a matchup that really isn't that intimidating.

Robinson can only hope to get some room to run and if he gets it, that will likely be the result of wide receiver Cecil Shorts III making things happen in the passing game to open things up. Shorts was held to just one catch for 6 yards against the Colts last week. Although he only has a single receiving touchdown on the season, Shorts will rack up a ton of targets on Sunday and thus have a chance to gather a lot of receptions. He could make for a decent fantasy option for owners in deep leagues this week.
