Tony Romo not at practice Wednesday; fantasy status still unclear

Tony Romo isn't practicing with the team on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was not at practice on Wednesday. That's not surprising at all given that he's dealing with a back injury that may keep him out of the team's next game. Dallas will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, and Romo is dealing with a back injury that includes two small fractures. He sustained the injury against Washington in Week 8.

Romo left that game after being sacked four times and after he was down on the field for a considerable amount of time. After an X-ray and treatment for pain, Romo was sent back into the game, but Dallas still eventually lost. Now there are those who believe he's able to play against the Jaguars on Sunday, and some who think that Dallas should simply rest him. The fact that it's the Jaguars might make the decision easier, as they have been pretty poor this season.

Fantasy Impact: Romo was always going to miss Wednesday's practice, whether he plays or not. He's also likely to miss Thursday's session, but his designation on the injury report Friday will be the most important thing to look forward to. Brandon Weeden might even be worth a fantasy play if Romo can't go.
