Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins (groin) aggravated his injury at Wednesday's practice session and left the field early, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. Watkins has been the team's best player this season, leading the team with 38 catches for 590 yards and five touchdowns in the first half of the season.

Updated Report: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Watkins will undergo a precautionary MRI to determine the severity of the injury, but it is not believed to be anything serious.

Fantasy Impact: The tough part about Watkins' injury is that the team is just coming off of its bye week and won't have the benefit of giving their star wideout an added break. He has had a truly fantastic year to this point, especially given the team had a rocky start with E.J. Manuel at quarterback.

The best thing to do for now is wait and see if Watkins practices on Thursday or Friday before jumping to any conclusions. If it just so happens he doesn't play, that could mean a whole lot more action for running back Fred Jackson, although his status for Sunday is also uncertain as of right now.

Fantasy owners need to play the waiting game with Watkins. He's worth starting on Sunday if he does play, even if he's not at full speed.
