Sammy Watkins not practicing Thursday; fantasy status unclear for Week 10

Sammy Watkins' groin injury kept him out of practice on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is not practicing with the team on Thursday, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550. Watkins is dealing with a groin injury he sustained at practice on Wednesday. He was forced to leave the session due to said injury, and the severity is unknown. Watkins has either had or is going to have an MRI, but the Bills have suggested that the injury is not serious.

It will be interesting to see if he managed to take part in practice on Friday. If he does, it seems likely that he would play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. If he misses the session, he'll likely be listed as questionable and a game-time decision. Watkins has been excellent in his rookie year, catching 38 passes for 590 yards and five touchdowns.

Fantasy Impact: If Watkins is unable to go, then it would likely be a combination of Robert Woods and Chris Hogan starting for Buffalo on Sunday. Woods is likely already taken in fantasy leagues, but Hogan could be a decent option if Watkins misses time. But all of that is still up in the air at this point. If it does come down to a game-time decision, the Bills and Chiefs face off in one of the early games.
