Mark Ingram injury: Saints RB questionable; has solid fantasy value with Khiry Robinson, Pierre Thomas out

Ingram is questionable but expected to carry the load against the 49ers on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The New Orleans Saints are hurting at the running back position. Both Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson have been ruled out for Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. Thomas has shoulder and ribs injuries, while Robinson has an arm injury. That leaves Mark Ingram, who himself isn't exactly healthy, either.

Ingram has a shoulder injury and is listed as questionable for Week 10. The questionable designation is supposed to denote a 50-percent chance of playing, but that said, most figure Ingram will be in action on Sunday. Ingram missed three games earlier in the season due to injury, but he's played in New Orleans' last three and seems good to go.

Fantasy Impact: Ingram has been excellent this season, with 88 carries for 431 yards and six touchdowns. Robinson and Thomas have been solid in relief, but Ingram getting the bulk of the carries is great for fantasy owners. His fantasy owners shouldn't worry too much about the injury, especially given that the Saints and 49ers play in the earlier games on Sunday, so they can check the inactives lists.
