Fantasy football projections, Week 7: Ravens-Cardinals featuring Justin Forsett, Carson Palmer and John Brown

We break down the Week 7 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals.

The Week 7 matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals could shape up to be a one-sided affair. We've got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Baltimore Ravens

If the Baltimore Ravens fail to secure a victory against the Arizona Cardinals this week, fans and experts alike might declare the team's season basically over. While winning a single game out of your first six is atrocious in reality, the fact that the Ravens have been playing from behind often has benefited the fantasy stats of quarterback Joe Flacco. In trying to play catch up against the San Francisco 49ers last week, he threw for 343 yards and two touchdowns. Week 7 will likely present Flacco with a similar scenario, which could mean lots of points in garbage time.

Perhaps such an outcome will adversely affect the numbers of running back Justin Forsett...or maybe not. Forsett has picked his fantasy game up in the last three weeks despite dealing with an ankle injury. Last week he benefited from the passing game, catching seven of eight targets which really helped his numbers in PPR leagues even though he only rushed for 62 yards. Forsett is a good bet to continue producing against the Cardinals with the Ravens being a significant underdog in the matchup.

Arizona Cardinals

Wide receiver John Brown has officially had his breakout performance. Last week he caught 10 passes for a career-high 196 yards. Unfortunately Brown didn't find the end zone, but given that he did score back in Week 6, it appears he's found his groove. Brown is solidifying himself as the team's No. 2 receiver right before our eyes. He should further cement that status against the Ravens who have simply been an all-around bad team this season. Brown could go to town against Baltimore on Monday Night Football.

Carson Palmer will likely play a huge role in making that happen, too. Palmer himself had a big game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Forced to come from behind, he threw a whopping 45 passes, completing 29 of them for a season-high 421 passing yards. His two interceptions on the day were a result of forcing the play so much, but the yardage total pleased fantasy owners enough not to worry about that. Only one team in the NFL gives up more fantasy points to quarterbacks than Baltimore, so Palmer could be in for another huge day.
