Gary Barnidge has big Week 4, Browns TE can be had on most fantasy waiver wires

Gary Barnidge had another impressive week. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Gary Barnidge is proving to be a big part of the Cleveland Browns' offense. In Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers, Barnidge caught six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Through the past two games, Barnidge has 12-180-2 stat line. In just four games, the 30-year-old Barnidge is having the best season of his career.

He's being heavily targeted by veteran quarterback Josh McCown. Barnidge's touchdown was a highlight reel catch in which he juggled the ball before securing it all while falling across the pylon. Barnidge will look to continue his strong start to the season against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.

Fantasy impact: Barnidge's success against the Oakland Raiders in Week 3 felt like a bit of a fluke. The Raiders have been torched by tight ends in 2015. However, the Chargers were supposed to be a tougher challenge for Barnidge, and he certainly excelled in the contest. As long as McCown is on the field, Barnidge could very will continue flirting with TE1 numbers on a weekly basis. Until he can prove to be a consistent fantasy option, Barnidge would be best treated as a weekly streaming option based on matchup. He's currently owned in less than 10 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
