Ben Roethlisberger practices Friday, shaping up to be game-time decision for fantasy owners

The Steelers' signal caller could shock many and take the field one week after being carted off with a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger practiced at a limited capacity on Friday, according to the team's public relations spokesman Burt Lauten.

Friday marks the second straight day that Roethlisberger practiced at a limited capacity, and the team's franchise quarterback is officially listed as questionable on the injury report. It had seemed like a longshot that Roethlisberger would be able to take the field after being carted off with a foot injury late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's victory over the Oakland Raiders, but Roethlisberger appears to be making a speedy recovery.

Fantasy impact: Because the Steelers have a 1 p.m. ET game time, fantasy owners have the luxury of waiting until 90 minutes prior to kickoff before setting their final lineups. If Roethlisberger is able to suit up and play, he will boost the fantasy value of all of his pass catchers. Needless to say, owners of Antonio Brown, Heath Miller and Martavis Bryant have their fingers crossed.

If Roethlisberger suits up on Sunday, he can be considered a high-upside QB1 against the Cleveland Browns' reeling defense. If Landry Jones gets the nod, he's a QB2.
