Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Jordan Reed

Washington's tight end faces an opponent he had success against earlier in the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Washington tight end Jordan Reed has one of the best matchups at hand for any position in Week 12, and his fantasy owners have definitely taken notice.

The New York Giants have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends in 2015, and Reed already contributed to that robust total in Week 3. Though it was a game in which DeSean Jackson was sidelined, Reed soaked up targets and totaled 96 yards on six catches amid a game Washington trailed throughout.

Fantasy impact: In addition to the second-most fantasy points allowed to tight ends, the Giants have also allowed a league-high 815 receiving yards to players at the position after being shredded by the likes of Rob Gronkowski, Charles Clay and Ben Watson at various points throughout the season. Reed could continue that trend after scoring five touchdowns in the three games preceding the brick wall he ran into in Week 11 against a stout Carolina Panthers defense.

Reed remains on the TE1 radar for Week 12, and has top-five upside against a defense that could allow him plenty of chances to produce.
