Ifeanyi Momah placed on season ending injury reserve, fantasy year over

Arizona Cardinals tight end Ifeanyi Momah is done for the year. We break down the fantasy implications.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Ifeanyi Momah has been placed on season ending injury reserve thanks to a knee injury, according to ESPN's Joseph Weinfuss. Momah was on the Philadelphia Eagles' roster last year.

Fantasy Impact: Momah is a physical specimen, standing at 6'7 and 248 pounds. He used to be a wide receiver but switched to tight end because of how big he is.

Still, he got cut by the Eagles last year because he was having problems maintaining his weight and he has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game to this point in his career. News of Momah's season coming to an end has led to the signing of former Detroit Lion Joseph Fauria.

Fauria would have been much more likely to see the field regularly compared to Momah anyway, but from a fantasy perspective, owners wouldn't have found value in either one of them in the immediate present. That value lies on Darren Fells, who enters the season at the top of the team's depth chart at the tight end position.
