Jeremy Hill not expected to miss time for fantasy owners

The Cincinnati Bengals running back is expected to be in practice this week despite shoulder injury. We break down fantasy impact.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Monday that he feels starting running back Jeremy Hill (shoulder) will be ready for practice Wednesday, according to Jim Owczarski of The Cincinnati Enquirer. Hill left the Bengals’ Week 5 loss early in the first half, arm dangling as he headed to the sideline with a shoulder injury. He did not return to the game. The third-year RB entered Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys battling a chest injury in practice the previous week.

Hill’s rushing numbers had continued to grow coming in to Week 5. He has rushed for a total of 233 yards and 3 touchdowns so far this season. Hill is listed as questionable for the Bengals’ Week 6 meeting with the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Impact: Hill was projecting well for fantasy owners, getting better each week coming into Week 5. Sunday, he only lasted 15 snaps before leaving the game. Considering he had a chest issue and now has a shoulder problem, expect Hill’s production to be low again this Sunday against the Patriots.

In the long shot Hill does not play Sunday, the Bengals will lean on power rusher Giovani Bernard. Bernard’s owners may see a bump Sunday. Rex Burkhead could see more action in the backfield as well.
