Cincinnati Bengals starting running back Jeremy Hill is in full pads at practice Wednesday, despite being spotted wearing a sling on this left arm prior to, according to Elise Jesse of WLWT. Hill went down in the second half of the Bengals’ loss to Dallas with a shoulder injury. The third-year RB was visibly in pain with his left arm dangling by his side as he went to the sideline Sunday. He did not return to the game.
Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has always maintained that HIll’s injury was not serious, according to ESPN’s Katherine Terrell.
Hill is listed as questionable for Week 6. He is expected to play through the injury at the moment. The Bengals take on the New England Patriots Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: This is bad news for Hill’s fantasy owners, though he is participating in practice. Hill was in a lot of pain went he went down Sunday. The sling looks to have been a preventative measure, but owners should still be concerned and it might be a good time to look for a backup option.
The Bengals will likely shift most of the backfield work to Giovani Bernard now that Hill is not 100 percent. Bernard is a solid and versatile RB that owners should keep their eye on, though he has a tough matchup against the Patriots this week.
