Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb will be the backup running back Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys. Given the bevy of injuries for the Packers, Eddie Lacy is expected to play but will be spelled in the backfield by Cobb, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Despite dealing with a slight neck injury last week, Cobb will be all over the field for the Packers seeing time on the outside at receiver and alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the backfield. Expect his production to be reflective of his versatility.
Fantasy Outlook: With Randall Cobb seeing time at both wide receiver and backup running back, expect him to see his fantasy production increase with more opportunities to touch the football. As fantasy owners expected during drafts, Cobb will be a solid play this week as a WR2 or Flex option. He will be an even better option in PPR leagues.
