Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert participated in limited practice Wednesday, his first practice since hurting his back two weeks ago, according to ESPN’s Katherine Terrell. The fourth-year TE was working his way back from preseason ankle surgery when he suffered the back injury in a practice leading into Week 5. He was looking to return to action against Dallas that week.
The Bengals want to see a full practice from Eifert before they clear him to play Week 7. Cincinnati is 2-4 so far this season. They host the Cleveland Browns Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: It is big news that Eifert could be available for the Bengals Sunday if he gets a full practice this week. He will likely be on a snap count in Week 7, but he still has high scoring potential as a top goal-line target for Andy Dalton.
Eifert returns to an upside matchup against the Browns. The Pro Bowler is an instant TE1 if he can go Sunday.
