The Week 7 matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars features two teams who can get the ball down the field in the passing game. We've got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Oakland Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs did a tremendous job at limiting quarterback Derek Carr in Week 6. The team was held to just 10 points on the scoreboard. Carr managed just 225 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception in the game. Overall Carr is averaging a healthy 268 passing yards per game and he’s got 12 touchdown passes compared to just three interceptions. He should be better against the Jaguars in Week 7, but he is in for a surprisingly difficult challenge. Jacksonville has limited opposing quarterbacks to just 218 passing yards per game this season.

Fortunately for wide receiver Amari Cooper, Carr’s quiet Sunday didn’t affect his own stats. Cooper caught 10 of 13 targets for 129 yards against the Chiefs. He did not find the end zone but in the last two games combined Cooper has 16 catches, 267 passing yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion. After going through somewhat of a slump for three straight weeks it appears Cooper has found his game again. Jacksonville is great at limiting passing yards at the quarterback position, but at the same time the Jaguars have been fairly generous to star receivers this season. They rank in the bottom half of the league against pass catchers. Cooper is a good bet for tons of targets and maybe a touchdown in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Jaguars

After stringing together back-to-back games with touchdowns, wide receiver Allen Robinson has disappeared once again. He had just three catches for 49 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Two of his catches came on the first drive of the game, which makes the performance all the more disheartening. Robinson also bobbled a pass in the end zone that turned out to be an interception. All in all it was a game to forget for one of the NFL’s top receivers. Perhaps Robinson will break out for a huge game against the Raiders in Week 7. The Raiders have given up more fantasy points to wide receivers than any other team in the NFL.

A game against the relaxed secondary of the Raiders may also light a fire under tight end Julius Thomas. Thomas was a popular sleeper pick in fantasy drafts this year given his size and athletic ability. The Jags were expected to show off an explosive passing game this season. Just hasn’t translated. Thomas has just 13 catches for 176 receiving yards and one touchdown through four games this year. Week 7 would be as good a time as any for Thomas to step his game up.
