Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore did not practice Wednesday and was on the injury report with a chest issue, according to the team’s website. Circumstances around Gore’s chest injury are unclear. It is unknown when or how the five-time Pro bowler suffered his injury and how severe it may be. Gore took his normal number of snaps in the Colts’ Week 4 loss to Jacksonville in London.
Gore has had a solid start to the 2016 season, rushing for over 250 yards overall and scoring a touchdown in three consecutive games. There is no indication that Gore should miss time with the chest problem. The Colts’ head to Chicago to take on the Bears Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: This is a surprise for Gore’s fantasy owners, but there is no need for there to be any panic yet. The 12-year veteran could very well be taking a maintenance day following a long trip for the previous week’s game. Owners need to keep an eye out for updates on Gore’s status as the week progresses. Should Gore miss Week 5, Robert Turbin will see a lot more action Sunday.
