The Chicago Bears starting quarterback job is officially up for grabs. Brian Hoyer replaced Jay Cutler due to injury, and has performed well. If Hoyer is able to perform well in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts, the door is open for him to be the starter going forward, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Head coach John Fox, “wants fewer turnovers out of the quarterback position,” and if Hoyer finds success in Fox’s eyes then a change at the position may be looming in Chicago.

Cutler’s future with the Bears may be over after this season, with Chicago ready to move in a different direction. “Cutler has fallen out of favor with some on the coaching staff ... . Cutler's future in Chicago beyond this season appears more bleak than ever,” according to CBS Sports Insider, Jason La Canfora. Given Cutler’s current status, Hoyer’s value as a quarterback will definitely be rising.

Fantasy Impact: Hoyer has the opportunity in his hands to become the starter going forward. His fantasy value will definitely increase for owners as a possible waiver wire selection or QB1 with a good matchup for the rest of the season.
