Editor's update: Chris Ivory is expected to play on Sunday, but will be on a snap count, and T.J. Yeldon might start in his place, per NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Ivory (calf) is listed as questionable for the team’s Week 1 game against the Green Bay Packers. Ivory practiced on a limited basis since being placed on the injury report Wednesday for soft tissue issues in his leg. Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said Friday that he does not "foresee" Ivory’s injury affecting the backfield rotation, according to Jags beat writer Hays Carlyon. Ivory is expected to be active for Sunday’s matchup.
Fantasy Impact: Ivory’s calf issues should not have much effect on his production for Week 1. He was always expected to split carries with T.J. Yeldon in the backfield. Last season, Ivory rushed for just over 1,000 yards with the New York Jets and averaged just over 4 yards per carry. Ivory came to Jacksonville to shore up the running game behind Yeldon. Owners should not be overly concerned about Ivory’s status. The sixth-year back is still looking like a solid RB3 option or flex start.
