Miami Dolphins running back Arian Foster is considered a “long shot” to play for the team’s meeting with the Cleveland Browns Sunday, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Foster suffered a groin injury in the first half of the Dolphins’ Week 2 loss to the Patriots. He did not return to the game. The four-time Pro Bowler had an MRI Monday and did not practice Wednesday. Foster came into Week 2 battling a hamstring injury and has battled injuries throughout his eight-year career. There has been no official word out of Miami if Foster will sit against the Browns.
Fantasy Impact: Foster is known for being injury prone. This groin injury does not seem to be serious, but with with Foster you can never tell. Despite reports, owners should not count Foster out for Week 3 because he is sitting out of practice. He has sat out of practice every Wednesday this month. The Dolphins may elect to rest Foster this week given their favorable matchup against Cleveland. Should that happen, look for Jay Ajayi to get the start.
