The New England Patriots could finally have Rob Gronkowski back this week. The All-Pro tight end has missed most of the past month with a hamstring injury. It forced him to miss the first two regular season games, but Gronk could suit up Thursday vs. the Houston Texans, according to CSN New England reporter Jeff Howe.
Thus far, New England has listed Gronk as a limited participant in every practice this season, including this week. He likely will be a game-time decision Thursday night.
Fantasy Impact: Even with the potential of rookie Jacoby Brissett making his first NFL start Thursday, Gronk remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues if he plays. The good news is this will be the first game of Week 3, so if he does not play, you can easily take him out of your lineup and still have plenty of options.
Yahoo! has Gronk ranked as their 10th-best tight end in Week 3. That low ranking is likely more due to the uncertainty of whether he plays or not.
For now, keep Gronkowski in your starting lineup this week, but make sure you can take him out Thursday night if he is inactive.
