Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd participated in a full practice wearing a non-contact jersey on Wednesday, according to Cardinals’ beat writer Darren Urban. Floyd was evaluated and cleared of a concussion during the Cardinals’ Week 3 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but he entered the NFL’s concussion protocol Monday after having headaches. The fifth-year WR will be evaluated further on Thursday per protocol rules.
Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is optimistic that Floyd will be cleared for Week 4’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, according to SiriusXM NFL radio host Alex Marvez.
Fantasy Impact: Floyd returning to non-contact sports is good news for fantasy owners. If he has no other symptoms this week then he should be good to go Sunday. The unfortunate part about Floyd’s return is he has to face a smothering Rams defense. Given his struggles so far this season, owners should not expect Floyd to have a breakout comeback and may want to consider sitting him this week anyway.
