Denver Broncos receiver Bennie Fowler might make an intriguing start against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. Demaryius Thomas is dealing with a leg injury, and Emmanuel Sanders is likely to miss the game with ankle issues.
Fowler has 13 catches for 140 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.
Fantasy impact: Make no mistake about it: Fowlers numbers are nothing to write home about, but he did see a season-high eight targets last week. This week it seems Thomas is more likely than Sanders to play against the Chargers.
Either way, Fowler should get another opportunity to strut his stuff in Week 7. He’s a good wild card option in deep leagues for a stash and maybe even a start. Consider it a boom-or-bust opportunity.
Depending on your ownership style, you may want to take a chance. If not, there are probably other fantasy options who are just as serviceable and ready to play. Sit and stash Fowler for now.
