The Cleveland Brown are a disappointment on many levels, starting off 0-7 and showing signs of organizational dysfunction yet again. But one of the biggest disappointments might be running back Isaiah Crowell, who’s taken a huge step back from his 2016 breakout.
An early-round fantasy pick after rushing for 952 yards and seven touchdowns last year, Crowell has been one of the biggest busts in fantasy football. Through seven games, he has just 287 yards and zero touchdowns, averaging 3.2 yards per attempt. Crowell’s disappearing act has been a big reason for the Browns’ offense completely falling apart.
Fantasy impact: As if things weren’t bad enough for Crowell, now he and the Browns have to face the Minnesota Vikings in London. The Vikings’ defense has been its usual dominant self, giving up the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs. To make things worse, All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas tore his triceps and is done for the year. There are zero compelling reasons to use Crowell this week, even with six teams on bye.
