Washington wideout Josh Doctson has had an increased role on the offense while teammates Terrelle Pryor and Jamison Crowder recover from injuries. Doctson is slowly finding his groove with QB Kirk Cousins. In Week 9, the sophomore receiver caught three passes for 59 yards including a deep ball in the final minute of the game that secured the win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Being the top receiver is not ideal against the Minnesota Vikings. Doctson will see a lot of Vikings Pro Bowl cornerback Xavier Rhodes Sunday. Minnesota has one of the top five passing defenses in the NFL.
Fantasy impact: Doctson has talent, and it is good news that he has taken over as the No. 1 receiving threat in Washington, but he is looking at a bad fantasy week against Minnesota Sunday. Beating Rhodes will take a lot of work. Additionally, the most targets Doctson has had in a game this season is five. There are too many hurdles to trust Doctson this week.
