Chris Hogan injury update: How to handle Patriots WR vs. Broncos

Chris Hogan’s lingering shoulder issue could lead to him falling out a favor in a crowded Patriots receiver group.

The New England Patriots have ruled out Chris Hogan for their Week 10 matchup with the Denver Broncos.

This was expected after Hogan failed to practice this week. A right shoulder injury is the issue, though it’s not thought to be a long-term issue. Fantasy owners certainly hope he’s back ASAP, as Hogan is having a great season in Year 2 with the Patriots.

In eight games, Hogan has caught 33 passes for 438 yards and five touchdowns. However, all of those scores came over his first five games. Over the last three games, Hogan has caught just 10 catches for 150 yards and no scores.

If Hogan doesn’t return soon, he could lose snaps to other talented Patriots receivers even when he returns.

Fantasy Advice: With Hogan out, expect to see Danny Amendola and Phillip Dorsett more involved in the passing game in Denver. However, the Broncos are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
