Fantasy football start/sit, Week 11: What to do with Martavis Bryant Thursday night

New, comment

Martavis Bryant did not do much in his return to the field for the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday. Bryant served a one-game suspension in Week 9 after going on a Twitter rant in which he spoke unfavorably about teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster. The third-year wideout caught three passes for 42 yards in the win over the Indianapolis Colts.

It may be too late for Bryant to work his way back into the Steelers’ receiving rotation with Smith-Schuster playing so well. The Steelers have not said if Bryant will have a bigger role against the Tennessee Titans Thursday night. The Titans are a soft matchup for the deep threat, but Bryant only played a little over half of the Steelers’ 66 snaps in Week 10.

Fantasy impact: Bryant is clearly in the Steelers doghouse and he probably will not be out of it before they host the Titans. Bryant did not get many opportunities to even be on the field Sunday vs. the Colts. If he does play more snaps on Thursday night, he still lost his spot to Smith-Schuster. Bryant has the ability to make a big play any time the ball is in his hands, but he does not have enough upside on limited snaps and decreased targets.

Recommendation: Sit
