Fantasy football Week 11: Start or sit Dak Prescott Sunday?

Prescott took a beating in Week 10 with left tackle Tyron Smith missing. We break down the fantasy implications.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was sacked career-high eight times in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday. The Cowboys lost several weapons coming into the Week 10 matchup including star running back Ezekiel Elliott, who missed the contest as a part of his six-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, and more importantly, left tackle Tyron Smith, who is nursing back and groin problems. Prescott finished Week 10 with 176 yards passing on 20 completions. He also had a season-high six carries for 42 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown.

The Cowboys are hopeful to have Smith back on the offensive line to help protect Prescott Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have given up a lot of passing yards to opposing quarterbacks, but they are in the top 10 in sacks with 25 and interceptions with 11. Smith’s status for Sunday is still undetermined.

Fantasy impact: Things were all good for Prescott in Week 9, but the loss of Smith and Elliott to some degree totally changed the look of the Cowboys’ offense and the fantasy outlook for Prescott. The Eagles’ defense is a good matchup for Prescott to get back on track if Smith can play Sunday. If not, Prescott could be looking at a lot of sacks and a few interceptions behind a shaky offensive line. Keep an eye on Smith’s status this week and Prescott on the bench until the left tackle is given a green light.

Recommendation: Sit for now
