In the last two games, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has turned things up a notch for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jeffery has eight catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns since Week 8. In the three games prior to that, Jeffery was held out of the end zone three weeks in a row. Jeffery had his first multiple-touchdown game in the win over the Denver Broncos. He has 70 yards receiving or a score in five games this season.
Sunday night Jeffery will look to keep his momentum going against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are not terrible against the pass, but they have given up 11 touchdowns to wide receivers this season, a tie for fourth-most in the league. Their secondary is also pretty banged up with Orlando Scandrick, the Cowboys’ best cornerback, questionable to play with an injury to his left hand.
Fantasy impact: Jeffery is looking much more effective on the Eagles offense, and he is yet to reach his full potential. Jeffery has the most targets in the Eagles offense, but he has struggled to convert targets to receptions most of the season. The game against Denver was the first time Jeffery caught more than 50 percent of his targets since Week 5. He should have no problem making catches and scoring against an ailing Cowboys secondary this week.
