The Oakland Raiders offense hasn’t lived up to expectations this year, but one bright spot in recent weeks has been the emergence of Jared Cook as a major factor. Signed to a two-year deal in the offseason after a strong playoff performance in Green Bay, Cook is on a nice little hot streak right now.
Over the past three games, Cook has 18 catches for 290 yards, including 100-yard games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. If there’s one knock, it’s that he has only one touchdown on the season. Cook also has a career-long history of teasing major potential, only to regress and disappear for long stretches.
Fantasy impact: Given the dearth of quality tight ends this season, Cook almost has to be considered a legitimate TE1 for the time being. The New England Patriots, giving up the 13th-most fantasy points to tight ends, offer a decent matchup in a game with shootout potential. Cook could be in for another big day and needs to be in lineups in every league format.
