The Minnesota Vikings confirmed Tuesday that they will go with Case Keenum as the starter in Week 11 after he lit up Washington Sunday, but he will have a short leash in the contest. Former starter Teddy Bridgewater was active for the Week 10 contest. It was his first time suiting up since 2015. Though Keenum is the starter, the Vikings seem eager to get Bridgewater reps. If Keenum struggles Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, the Vikings will have no problems pulling him in favor of Bridgewater.
Keenum earned his start this week after he completed 21 passes on 29 attempts 304 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions in the win over Washington. It was the second time Keenum threw more than 300 yards and two touchdowns this season. He has thrown six touchdowns through the last two games.
Fantasy impact: Keenum did a good job keeping the Vikings offense afloat while Bridgewater healed up. Now that Bridgewater is healthy, is it only a matter of time before he returns to his backup role. Keenum faces his former team Sunday. The Rams defense will be a much more difficult foe than Washington was in Week 10. Keenum could be on the bench before the game ends if he gets into trouble. No need to have him in your starting lineup with that looming over his head.
