Fantasy football start/sit, Week 11: What to do with Cooper Kupp

The Rams rookie slot receiver struggled despite having a season-high receptions. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rookie slot receiver Cooper Kupp continues to be atop the Los Angeles Rams targets and receptions list weekly. Kupp has not made much out of his opportunities. He had a season-high six catches against the Houston Texans Sunday but finished the game with only 47 receiving yards. He hit a season-low in yards per reception in Week 10, averaging under eight yards per catch for the first time this season. Kupp has been noticeably absent from the end zone in the last two Rams outings as well.

Kupp has a tough matchup ahead of him Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have a notoriously stingy defense. Only two receivers have more than 70 yards receiving and a touchdown against the Vikings and no receiver has accomplished that feat since Week 3.

Fantasy impact: Kupp continues to receive a fair amount of targets from QB Jared Goff despite the low output, but he is clearly falling well behind Robert Woods in production. Eventually, the looks will stop coming if he does not step up to the plate. Kupp will have a tough time gaining yards against the Vikings this week. Goff still relies on the rookie enough to make him a good play in PPR leagues Sunday. He does not offer much outside of that, unfortunately.
