Charles Clay injury update: How to handle Bills TE vs. Chargers

Charles Clay is part of the mess that the Bills’ offense has become.

The Buffalo Bills are listing Charles Clay as questionable to return in Week 11 vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.

Clay is working his way back to 100 percent after suffering a knee injury in Week 5, which led to him missing a month of action before returning in Week 10. He missed practice on Wednesday and was limited both Thursday and Friday.

Coupled with a new starting quarterback in Nathan Peterman, fantasy owners should not expect much, if anything, from him in Los Angeles this week. Clay is a viable fantasy tight end going forward, and he can be had on a lot of leagues’ waiver wires. It will be interesting to see how well he meshes with Peterman.

Fantasy Advice: If Clay is active, he will face a Chargers defense allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. Even if Clay plays, keep him on the bench this week.
