Clay is working his way back to 100 percent after suffering a knee injury in Week 5, which led to him missing a month of action before returning in Week 10. He missed practice on Wednesday and was limited both Thursday and Friday.
Coupled with a new starting quarterback in Nathan Peterman, fantasy owners should not expect much, if anything, from him in Los Angeles this week. Clay is a viable fantasy tight end going forward, and he can be had on a lot of leagues’ waiver wires. It will be interesting to see how well he meshes with Peterman.
Fantasy Advice: If Clay is active, he will face a Chargers defense allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. Even if Clay plays, keep him on the bench this week.
