Rookie running back Leonard Fournette showed up on the Jacksonville Jaguars injury report again this week with ankle problems that have plagued him since his college days at LSU. He did not let the injury slow him down in Week 11, however. Fournette carried the ball 28 times for 111 yards in the win over the Cleveland Browns. He also had two catches for seven yards in the contest. Fournette posted his fourth 100-plus rushing game of the season one week after a season-low 33-yard effort on 17 carries.
The Jaguars will continue to feed their fourth overall pick against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. The Cardinals may be a tougher challenge for Fournette, however. The Cardinals have allowed the sixth-fewest rushing yards to RBs through Week 11 and they have only given up six touchdowns to the position all season.
Fantasy impact: Fournette is a monster running the ball, but he is not invincible. His ankle has always been a problem, but that seems to be behind him for now. Fournette’s biggest issue will be the Cardinals rushing defense Sunday. He should have a high volume of carries this week. Yards will not come as easily against a team that has only given up 763 yards to rushers all season, however. Fournette may take a hit to his production in Week 12. He will likely still be one of the top 10 running backs in the league.
