Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery struggled to reel in the ball again in Week 8 catching just two of his eight targets. But Jeffery did hive fourth 50-plus receiving yard game and scored his third touchdown of the season in the blowout over the San Francisco 49ers. However, he is only catching an average of 45 percent of his targets on the season. Sunday he hit a season-low, catching just 25 percent of his targets.
Times will be a lot harder for Jeffery when the Denver Broncos come to town. The Broncos have a shutdown defense that can stop the pass and the run with ease. The Broncos have given up the third-fewest passing yards to opposing offenses in the NFL.
Fantasy impact: Jeffery is a boom-or-bust receiver and he has been way more of a bust this season. He just cannot seem to catch the ball. Now, he faces a defense that plays lights out against the pass. Jeffery is always a deep threat, but good luck on him catching it.
