Paul Richardson put up career-high receiving numbers in the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 8 win over the Houston Texans. Richardson caught six passes on seven targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. This was Richardson’s first game with more than five receptions and 100-plus yards receiving. He has also scored in back-to-back weeks.
On Sunday Richardson will try to continue his hot streak against Washington. Washington’s defense plays well versus wideouts, giving up just over 800 receiving yards so far this season. Richardson should still be able to have a good game this week since Washington’s feature cornerback, Josh Norman, is expected to cover Doug Baldwin.
Fantasy impact: Richardson is fourth on the targets and receptions list for Seattle, but he is second on the team in receiving yards. More of a boom-or-bust receiver, Richardson has been booming of late with QB Russell Wilson playing lights out. On paper, he does not seem to have a great matchup on Sunday, but Washington cannot cover all of the Seahawks’ weapons. Richardson could have another big game in Week 9.
