Fantasy football Week 10: Start or Sit Russell Wilson for TNF?

Wilson remains a fantasy must-play despite a bad outing at home Sunday.

Russell Wilson is looking to rebound on the road against the Arizona Cardinals Thursday night. The Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback had a rough night at home vs. Washington in Week 9. Wilson completed 24 passes for 297 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions on 45 attempts. He was also the Seahawks’ leading rusher with 10 carries for 77 yards. The game was ugly for the Seahawks offense all around, but Wilson still scored over 25 fantasy points in Yahoo! fantasy football standard leagues.

The Seahawks need to address a lot of problems before facing their division rivals Thursday night. However, Wilson has a favorable matchup. Wilson owned the Cardinals in their last head-to-head meeting, passing for 350 yards and four touchdowns. The Cardinals defense has given up 14 passing touchdowns to opposing QBs this season, and three rushing touchdowns are a tie for the most allowed to opposing QBs in the league.

Fantasy impact: Wilson is a fantasy freak of nature. He throws around 40 times every game and he is the Seahawks’ leading rusher. No matter how bad the offense plays, Wilson is always a top-10 fantasy-scoring QB. The offense is still struggling, but they are much improved. They should play better against a softer Cardinals defense and Wilson will reap all the benefits. Throw out last week, Wilson is on fire in fantasy right now.
