Editor’s update: In unexpected news, Rudolph is actually expected to play, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
The Minnesota Vikings are listing Kyle Rudolph as doubtful to play versus the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.
Rudolph suffered an ankle injury in Week 14 that had him sporting a walking boot this week. He missed all three practices this week, so he’s effectively out for Sunday.
Rudolph has been one of the top fantasy tight ends this season. In 13 games, Rudolph has caught 53 passes for 506 yards and seven touchdowns. That includes four scores over his last three games, but it looks like his injury will sideline him for at least one game.
Making matters worse for Minnesota is backup tight end Blake Bell has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy Impact: With Rudolph likely out, the Vikings are down to David Morgan and Kyle Carter at tight end. Neither is worth starting against the Bengals, who are allowing the ninth-most receptions to tight ends this season.
