Farmers Insurance Open: Tiger Woods Struggles Early In Round 3 At Torrey Pines

Midway through Round 3 at the Farmers Insurance Open on Saturday, noted golf enthusiast Tiger Woods has stumbled out of the gate. After posting 3-under days in Rounds 1 and 2, Woods scored bogeys in three of his first five holes.

Woods finished the front nine at 2-over. In Round 2, he started well with birdies on the third through sixth holes, but he bogeyed the second, third, and fifth in Round 3 before recovering with birdies on the sixth and ninth.

As Tiger enters the back nine at Torrey Pines, he stands at 5-under for the tournament, bringing him into a nine-way tie for 21st place. The leaderboard is very tight, though, as Woods is still only separated from the tournament leaders by five strokes. Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, and Bill Haas currently share the lead at 10-under.
