The 2012 Shell Houston Open in Texas is midway through its final day on Sunday. The battle for the top of the leaderboard is heating up and there are at least two golfers attempting to win the tournament in order to gain entry to the Masters in Augusta next weekend.
Through the first seven holes of his fourth round play, Carl Pettersson is on top of the leaderboard at 16-under. Pettersson is not currently invited to the Masters, but would secure a spot with a win. Close behind Pettersson is Lewis Oosthuizen, at 15-under through seven. Hunter Mahan is also at 15-under through seven holes, but is even for the day so far.
Also playing to earn a Masters invite is James Driscoll, who is at 14-under through his first seven holes of the day and just two strokes off the lead.
