Noted golf enthusiast Tiger Woods was making his first appearance at the 2012 Greenbrier Classic, but it was a short lived debut. Woods was three strokes back of the cut line with four holes left and fell a stroke short, finishing up even after two days of play and getting bounced early.
Joining Woods in getting cut was Phil Mickelson, marking a pretty significant cut for the two golfers. This is the first time both Mickelson and Woods have missed the cut in the same tournament in nearly 20 years. It also marks the third time Woods has missed a cut following a victory in his career, and only the ninth missed cut of his career.
If Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson both miss cut, it will be 2nd time both missed cut in same tournament (1993 Byron Nelson, Tiger was amateur)
