2016 PGA Championship TV schedule: Start time and broadcast info for Round 3

It is moving day at the 2016 PGA Championship with the remaining 86 players attempting to make a run at the lead in the final major championship of the season. It was a fluid leaderboard during the first two rounds with several players posting impressive scores. Jimmy Walker will open the day with at least a share of the lead for the second straight day, but there are plenty of challengers chasing him.

Walker is tied for the lead at 9-under with Robert Streb. The two lead a group of 12 players who will begin the third round at 4-under or better. That group includes Jason Day at 7-under, Henrik Stenson at 6-under and Rickie Fowler at 4-under. Day, the defending PGA Champion, made a surge with a 5-under round of 65. His round included a stretch of seven birdies over eight holes. If he can continue to play like that, he could very well be on his way to back-to-back PGA Championship victories. Stenson might derail Day's plans and claim back-to-back major victories. Fresh off a win at The Open just three weeks ago, Stenson is just three strokes off the lead.

Patrick Reed is 5-under and in the mix for his first major championship while Jordan Spieth lurks at 3-under in pursuit of his third major victory.

Despite cutting the field down from the original 156 players, there will still be a healthy field playing on Saturday with a whopping 86 players making the cut. The top 70 players plus ties make the cut at the PGA Championship. There was a big tie at 2-over, leading to an extra large weekend field.

With the tournament shifting to the weekend, coverage will also change. TNT provided television coverage during the first two rounds, and while the network will provide some coverage on Saturday, CBS will handle the bulk of the broadcast. TNT will handle the first three hours of coverage, broadcasting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET. The broadcast will then shift to CBS where it will remain for the rest of the round, roughly until 7 p.m.

In addition to the main television coverage, PGA.com will provide a pair of live streams. There will be marquee group coverage throughout the round. There will also be a live simulcast stream of the television broadcast. The final six groups are all scheduled to tee off at 2:05 p.m. or later, so their entire rounds will occur during the CBS coverage window.

Here is a complete look at the third-round coverage. All times Eastern.
