The scenario: Everyone's talking about the Mariners signing Robinson Cano. There's some weirdness there, as Nick Franklin is one of the better second-base prospects/young players in the game, but, whatever, Cano is a likely Hall of Famer. The Mariners getting Cano is the story.

The initial response: Wait, does that mean the M's are out on Cano? Or are they planning some sort of super offer for David Price that involves Franklin and Brad Miller? And if the Rays get Miller, what are they doing with Escobar? And if Escobar leaves ...
