Memphis played an exhibition against a D-II opponent and lost

The exhibition game against a nobody opponent is a time-honored college basketball tradition. You steamroll a much worse team, get a little tune-up before the season starts, entertain the fans, and move on. Unless ...

Yes, Memphis -- a team that sits just below the Top 25 in preseason rankings -- lost in overtime to a local Division II school called Christian Brothers University. CBU actually led for much of the game, then fell behind, then came back to send it to OT and eventually win.

The Tigers have stomped CBU several years in a row, so the Bucs and their fans were pretty thrilled to get revenge:

As for Memphis? Maybe this will be a down year, but it's just a preseason loss. These things happen. Syracuse know what's up.
