Yankees fan taunts Robinson Cano for taking too much money, world explodes

Players have long chosen to play for the Yankees since the Yankees pay the most money. Here, a Yankees fan learns the horror of other teams spending more money.

Hi! I'm a fan of the New York Yankees. Don't judge me; I was born this way. To be a Yankees fan, you have to acknowledge that the team you root for is inherently unlikable and that they are perpetually successful because of their ability and subsequent willingness to outspend the opposition. Because baseball teams make tons of money and baseball players like tons of money, you get good ones by giving them tons of money.

This guy did not get that:

Yes, Robinson Cano left the Yankees because the Mariners gave him more money... and subsequently the Yankees won bidding wars for Masahiro Tanaka, Brian McCann, Carlos Beltran, Jacoby Ellsbury, etc.

Or maybe Yankees fans are just getting used to their role as not-the-highest-paid team in baseball for the first time in 16 years?
