Everyone says that soccer is the most popular sport in the entire world. If you've been on Facebook in the past two weeks, you probably believe them. Remember how your Facebook timeline exploded when Ellen DeGeneres took that selfie at the Oscars and it was all anyone could talk about for like five days?

Well, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Facebook interactions for the World Cup have already exceeded the amount of interactions for this year's Super Bowl, Oscars and Winter Olympics, combined. COMBINED. Holy cow.
