Mike Napoli thinks Masahiro Tanaka is an idiot

Or a idiot. That’s up for debate.

The story: Jon Lester and Masahiro Tanaka were matched up in a 1968 duel, with both pitchers taking their start into the ninth inning and pitching well. In the top of the ninth, Tanaka missed his location, and Mike Napoli flicked a 220-foot homer into Yankee Stadium’s right field.

After the homer, Napoli returned to his dugout, and here’s where the debate starts:

a. “What an idiot!”

or

b. “What a idiot!”

I maintain the latter. Which would be amazing. It’s probably not true, but I’m preferring to believe it is. Either way, it seems like the hitter is loudly calling the pitcher an idiot, which is probably against unwritten rules ...
