Rockies give fans Troy Tulowitzki jerseys, spell Tulowitzki wrong

It appears that quality control failed big time on these free shirts.

Troy Tulowitzki is a pretty solid baseball player. We're not sure who this Tulowizki guy is, though.

The good news is that the shirts were free. The bad news is that not only are a bunch of people now walking around with "Tulowizki" shirts, nobody caught the problem before it was too late.

We can't help but wonder how much these shirts will be going for on eBay in the next few days.

UPDATE: The Rockies released a statement apologizing for the mistake:

Our sincere apologies to the fans for the misspelling of the Troy Tulowitzki King Soopers jersey that was distributed tonight.

Acknowledging that many fans came to the game for the jersey, rather than disappoint them, we decided to go ahead and hand them out.

We have made plans to reproduce the jersey and fans wishing to exchange will be able to do so at a future date (TBD) in September at Coors Field or the Rockies Dugout Stores. In addition, fans exchanging the jersey will receive a complimentary ticket to a future game in 2014 or 2015.
