The Dutch, obviously, want to win the World Cup. Like all of the teams still in the running, they want this thing pretty badly. So badly, in fact, that they've offered the players COMPLIMENTARY SPACE TRAVEL if they win the tournament in Brazil.
XCOR Aerospace is the company that wants to strap the players and coach into a space shuttle and blast them into the nearest reaches of the galaxy. Here's what they have to say about the offer:
"Being a Dutch firm, we feel extremely proud of our team's current achievements in Brazil. The breathtaking goal of Robin van Persie, and all newspaper headlines about ‘The Flying Dutchman' have inspired us to also do something extra. We will literally try to take them to the next level; 103 km. The whole selection of 23 players and of course Louis van Gaal."
LITERALLY TAKE THEM TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Here is a reason to root for the Netherlands: because they'll be fired into outer space if they win. And there's probably no way that can go wrong. Isn't that right, Arjen Robben?
Yep. See? It's totally safe.
